PE Quarter 1: Ultimate Football, Touch Football, Cross Country, Fitness Testing, and Soccer
We start out this quarter playing Ultimate Football to get the students familar with the skills of passing and catching. After a couple weeks of games, we will switch over to touch football and incorporated football terms, concepts, rules, player positions and strategy. To help the students out on the unit tests, we have provided a summary of the unit's information that might appear on a test as a question. Please use the drop down feature to find the study guide.
If a student still has any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to talk to the teachers. You can also contact the teachers through email. You can find teacher email information under "staff".
The Football Unit test will have Ultimate Football questions as well as Touch Football questions. Please review both study guides before the test.
Our second Unit combines running Cross Country and participating in the Fitnessgram Fitness Program. The Cross Country course is about a mile long. We will not run the course two days in a row. We will alternate going outside to run and staying inside to fitness test. You can check out the Fitness Testing Unit for more detailed descriptions of the tests that we will be administering.
Our final unit this quarter will be soccer. Hopefuly the weather will cooperate and we will be able to get outside as much as possible. The 6th and 7th graders will play co-ed and the 8th grade boys and girls will be seperated.
